About YOFT Academy

Our Story

Background

Welcome to YOFT Academy, a youth development organisation established in 2010. Based in Concession, Mazowe District in Mashonaland Central, Zimbabwe, we focus on community engagement and youth development through sports and education.

Our team of experts — including coaches, sports agents, and legal practitioners — work together to provide opportunities for young people in the surrounding schools and the wider community. Our flagship programme is the YOFT Junior Soccer Academy.

At YOFT Academy we are committed to empowering young people to reach their full potential and become active, positive members of their communities.

Our Mission

To identify, nurture, and develop young sporting talent in Zimbabwe, while using sport as a vehicle to combat social challenges such as drug abuse, early child marriages, and youth unemployment.

Our Vision

To be Zimbabwe's leading grassroots sports academy — producing world-class athletes who are equally equipped to succeed in life off the pitch, driving positive change in their communities.

Expanding the talent base to multiple sporting activities to ensure every youth in any sporting discipline is included.

Building strong foundations from the ground up in schools and communities across Mashonaland Central.

Running dedicated girls' football programmes to fight early child marriages and promote gender equality through sport.
